Triple Crown of Hiking
Appearance
The Triple Crown of Hiking refers to completing the three great long-distance trails of the United States:
- The Appalachian Trail (~2,190 miles)
- The Pacific Crest Trail (~2,650 miles)
- The Continental Divide Trail (~3,100 miles)
Fewer than 600 people are known to have finished all three. Most complete them in separate years, each as a single-season thru-hike. Shorter routes such as the Long Trail, the John Muir Trail, the Colorado Trail, and the Arizona Trail are common preparation.
