Appalachian Trail

The Appalachian Trail is a marked hiking trail in the eastern United States, running roughly 2,190 miles from Georgia to Maine. It is one of the three trails making up the Triple Crown of Hiking, alongside the Pacific Crest Trail and the Continental Divide Trail.

Its northern terminus shares roughly 100 miles of treadway with Vermont's Long Trail. Most people who complete it in a single season are thru-hikers, and they resupply in trail towns along the route.
